Terms And Conditions;

General Conduct;

Our Instructor's are bound by a professional code of conduct which means our Instructor's will be polite, courteous, tidy and punctual. They will always act in a professional and ethical manner at all times. All cars used for tuition are fitted with dual-controls as standard equipment. Our car's are fully insured for driving tuition. Qualifications. Our Instructor's are fully licensed by the Driving Standard Agency (DSA) to give driving tuition.

Driving Licence;

You must hold a current, valid driving license, provisional, full or international), and produce it on (or in advance of) your first lesson

Insurance;

Fees include pupils cover for insurance liability claims whilst driving the school's vehicles, provided that the pupils are duly licensed to drive and are accompanied by an Instructor working for or on behalf of LOCAL School Of Motoring or on a Driving Test with a DSA examiner

Payments;

Please note payments must be made in advanced of your lesson. If you book a course, a deposit or the full course fee is required in advance. ANY payments made to our driving instructor's need to claimed from individual instructors and NOT Local School Of Motoring

Local School of Motoring accepts payment by either cash or cheque.

Lesson Cancellation / Postponements;

Local School of Motoring reserves the right to charge for lessons not cancelled within at least 48 hours of the planned lesson time. Exceptions to this rule are at the discretion of the Instructor.

Driving Tests;

In the interest of public safety we reserve the right to withhold the use of our car's for test if in your Instructor's opinion, your driving is actually or potentially dangerous.

Appointments;

1. While every care will be taken to ensure pupils receive lessons at the requested time, all bookings are made on the understanding that LOCAL School Of Motoring is not responsible for the postponement of training due to traffic conditions, adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown or any other cause out of our control.

2. If in the view of the instructor, the pupil is unfit to carry out the lesson safely due to self induced circumstances (eg. Alcohol or Drugs) a cancellation charge will apply.

Mobile Phones;

All pupils are to ensure that these are switched off prior to entering the tuition vehicle for safety reasons. Due to recent changes in the law, your instructor will not use a mobile phone whilst the vehicle is moving on a driving lesson.

Personal Property;

Local School Of Motoring excepts no liability for personal property that is left if any, in the vehicle.

Booking Driving Test;

Driving Tests can be booked directly by the National Booking Office, either by telephone, internet or post (dates must be confirmed with us before final booking otherwise we cannot guarantee to provide a vehicle for the test).

Cancelling Your Driving Test;

3 working days is required by the Driving Standard Agency (DSA) for cancellation, postponing a test without loss of fee. This 3 day notice does not include weekends or public holidays. We cannot be held responsible for postponement or cancellation of test by the DSA however, do all that is possible to help you reclaim expenses from the DSA in such cases
